UMTS antennas KPN mobile almere
In Almere an important metropolitan axis, the 'evenaar', is to be extended and decorated. Hereby a 70x3000m area will arise, which will be used as trafic zone and city park. About in the middle of the axis, at the future trainstation 'oostvaardersbuurt', a 40m high UMTS antenna is planned. To protect the visual quality of the park, the municipality demands that no standard antenna will be used. They asked us to, based on a standard antenna, design a landmark. The first proposal was a antenna randomly 'decorated' with Cor-ten steel slabs in the direction of the axis, with the actual antennas behind them. This proposal turned out to be not cost-efficient enough. In the second proposal, the antenna is surrounded bij 'square' fiberglass rings every 30 cm horizontally. Each ring has a different shape, defining the visual shape of the endresult. |
